JAKARTA, INSERTRAKYAT.com – Teuku Raja Fahsul Falah, a bureaucrat born in East Aceh, is the son of a TNI soldier and a mother who is a member of Persit. TR once shared stories about his childhood and his journey to becoming independent as he grew up.
When speaking, TR illustrated the meaning of perseverance, both during the learning process and in achieving quality work in any field an individual pursues. According to the husband of Cut Resmiati, every knowledge about goodness has a profound impact on daily life.
However, without God’s intervention, it is impossible for knowledge of goodness to be maintained and beneficial for others over time.
“Formal and non-formal knowledge is very important, combined with perseverance and diligence accompanied by values of goodness. It may be easily acquired, but it means nothing if it is not accompanied by Morals and Etiquette. Especially if that knowledge [of goodness] cannot be sustained. Essentially, knowledge is simple and beneficial if practiced and preserved,” he said, connecting his story with the essence of local wisdom and the culture of social harmony.
He also advised that humility should be nurtured in one’s soul.
This excerpt comes from TR’s story during his tenure as Acting Mayor of Dumai in 2024.
After school, TR—his familiar nickname—then embarked on a long and varied career in Indonesian government.
Born on January 1, 1974, TR pursued his education from SDN 1 Kutacane, Southeast Aceh, up to a Master’s degree in Regional Finance at MEP-UGM in 2001, strengthening his competence in government management and public finance.
His career began at the regional level, including positions such as Head of Formations Subdivision at BKD South Aceh (2001–2003) and Subdistrict Head of Labuhanhaji Timur (2003–2005). He then held several strategic roles, including Head of Information and Data at BKD South Aceh (2005–2008), Head of Evaluation and Research & Development at BAPPEDA South Aceh (2008–2009), and Head of Electronic Data Processing at SETDAKAB South Aceh (2009–2010).
TR also led several important agencies, such as Head of Revenue, Finance, and Regional Assets Management Office of South Aceh (2010–2012) and Head of Food Security and Extension Agency of South Aceh (2012–2013). He served as a Widyaiswara (2015–2016) and Head of Competency Development for Functional Positions at the Ministry of Home Affairs (2016–2018).
During 2018–2020, TR oversaw training for Regional Heads, Deputy Heads, DPRD members, and Village Heads at the Ministry of Home Affairs. He later led PPSDM Kemendagri Regional Makassar (2020–2022) before becoming Secretary of BPSDM Kemendagri (2022–2023).
At the executive level, TR also served as Acting Regent of Sinjai (September 26, 2023 – September 24, 2024) and Acting Mayor of Dumai (September 24 – November 23, 2024). These positions reinforced his reputation as an experienced bureaucrat capable of handling interim government duties with high professionalism.
Currently, TR Fahsul Falah serves as Head of the Center for Regional, Population, and Public Service Policy Strategy at the National Strategy Policy Agency (BSKDN), Ministry of Home Affairs. Based at Jalan Kramat Raya No. 132, Central Jakarta, he continues to contribute to formulating strategic policies that impact public services and regional development across Indonesia.
Citing his strong educational background and cross-regional bureaucratic experience, TR Fahsul Falah is an exemplary figure for young Indonesian bureaucrats, especially those from Aceh, emphasizing discipline, integrity, and professionalism in public service.
The latest news reports that TR Fahsul Falah, along with public management at BSKDN Kemendagri, will soon continue the socialization of the Red and White Subsidized Energy Card (KEB) involving local governments, vertical agencies, private sectors, and communities across all provinces.
According to TR, an actual discussion forum related to KEB will be held once the system preparation and coordination with local governments are completed. “We are preparing an Actual Discussion Forum regarding the Subsidized Energy Card,” TR said from Jakarta.
More specifically, this national program [innovation replication] emphasizes the active role of central and regional governments in implementing a multi-functional social control system for subsidized energy recipients, supporting Government Technology, ensuring subsidies are targeted, and integrating subsidized fuel quotas and usage volume with convenient cashless payments.
The focus of the Red and White KEB is to create fairness for subsidy recipients, strengthen regional fiscal capacity, and increase public support for local governments. BSKDN information indicates that this program has proven effective and should be replicated in other provinces. Sunday (26/10/2025).
